Known as a member of the world music project Acha with the Turkish musicians Tanar Catalpinar and Nahim Avci, Claudio Benito is mainly a flamenco guitar player. As a young boy he was touched by the sounds of the flamenco guitar. First as an autodidact, later as a student of Paco Peña at the Rotterdam Conservatory. For the tenth anniversary of Muziekpublique he plays Malaguena by Paco Peña.
