Belgian and French Bagpipes

Bagpipes for beginners – individual:
Exhaling, pushing, trying to make a sound… The technique of playing the bagpipes is quickly learnt by playing tunes. The proposed songsare compositions from Belgium or central France. Emphasis is put on training the musical ear, highlighting the importance of precision and rhythm. Students do not need to know music theory. It is possible to rent a bagpipe through the teacher.

Bagpipes for beginners/intermediary students – group
The technique of playing the bagpipes is quickly learnt by playing tunes. The proposed songs are compositions from Belgium or central France. Emphasis is put on training the musical ear, highlighting the importance of precision and rhythm. Students do not need to know music theory. You need your own instrument: “cornemuse du centre”/Flemish bagpipe 16 poucesin G.

Bagpipes for intermediary/advanced students
The technique of playing the bagpipes is quickly learnt by playing tunes. The proposed songs are compositions from Belgium or central France. Emphasis is put on training the musical ear, highlighting the importance of precision and rhythm. Time will be givenover to the creativity of the students (developing arrangements, collective compositions,etc..). You need your own instrument: “cornemuse du centre”/Flemish bagpipe 16 pouces in G or other.

REMI DECKER
Brought up in a musical environment, Remi started playing the bagpipes at the age of ten. Over time his relationship with the flute, which started platonically, became as important as with the bagpipes. Remi is both aware of tradition and crazy about creating. He has developed a rich, inventive and spontaneous musical language. His talent and desire have brought him to put together a few groups, illustrating his eclectic tastes: ‘K Voel Me Belg, Griff, BBGE, Duo Decker-Decombel, Sourdine, MinuitGuibolles...
