N'Faly Kouyate (Guinée)

Many have come to know N'Faly Kouyaté as a member of the internationally renowned Afro Celt Sound System, as well as through his work with artists like Mory Kante and Sona Djeli Kouyate. He was brought up and trained in one of the most famous griot families of the west African Mandinka people. N'Faly is a wonderful singer, story-teller and player of the kora (a west African harp with between 21 and 25 strings) and the balafon. Since moving to Belgium, he has lead the group Dunyakan. For this exceptional concert, Nfaly has accepted to perform solo.
